We have learnt from experience that when a Café Barrier is put outside of your premises the material that is between the posts can act like a sail on a ship, and in a high wind it can topple the Café Barrier over. This could obviously cause problems to pedestrians or to customers.
Because of this we have designed our post to make sure that this will be prevented, by using three important features.
1: Firstly our 2mm Stainless Steel post weighs 20-Kilos, so one complete system with 2-Post’s and 2-Cross Bars weighs 42-Kilos. 2: Secondly the second ring on the bottom of our post is not fixed and thus it allows when (material or when PVC) is used, to move very slightly up or down should a sudden strong wind come along. 3: Thirdly the Kalkametrix Post has been incorporated with a very simple but a highly effective optional Floor Brackets. The benefits of using this easy fixing option, is to be able to have a post that can be screwed into the floor or pavement in seconds and thus making the post very strong, extra safe and rigid.
We have achieved this by integrating this option into the design of the base of the post, with the addition of the locking bolt and floor fixing component!
Therefore using the Floor Brackets your cafe barriers can be fixed to the ground, but can also be very quickly and easily removed at night, or as the need arises.

Connecting Ring supplied with Posts
The connecting rings are made from stainless steel with rolled edges. The top ring is fixed with a lower floating ring that will enable the slight movement of the banner in the wind which helps with stability. The ring has been designed to allow the attachment of The Kalakametrix cross beam at 45 degree angles as well as the normal 90 degree. Shown on the right.
